Caddy 3.2 v6 conversion

Audi big brakes installed all around. Massive in comparison to the stock caddy brakes.
Pretty much a bolt on mod, all that was needed are the Audi flexi brake lines.

Bilstein b4 shocks with eibach 60mm Sportline springs used as the best ride quality is achieved with 100% usability in all day to day life. It just depends on what look your after. I’m going for oem+

Radiator pack from the Audi bolted straight into the caddy front end, everything apart from the a/c top hose bolted and fitted perfectly.
A/c pipe from the a3 was used and fitted no problem at all.
The engine looks like it came out of the factory in the caddy.

Future mod is to change the v6 3.2 for an r32 panel so it looks 100% oem.
Battery has been relocated to accommodate the 3.2 airbox .

Next job is to modify the fuel system. New petrol fuel lines added including a fuel filter for the Audi 3.2.
Tank was removed cleaned and adapted to accept fuel pump and lines.

Back on her feet to take a trip to angelsey north wales for a specialist to do the mind boggling wiring job.
I’ve done the easy part so hats of to these super hero’s that make these conversions possible for the non electrically minded people like myself.
And that’s where we are up to at this present time. Once she’s up and running it’s exhaust time.

The VR6 does look like it belongs.

Exciting times, you must be counting the sleeps until it's back!

Also nice to see you've went down the B4/lowering springs route as well, should be quite smooth and comfortable.

Can I ask why you never fit the correct fuel tank and lines then it’s all OEM? There are many differences between the petrol and diesel fuel tanks (not just one breather hose), it isn’t actually possible to adapt the diesel tank properly, regardless of what many people believe or say.

Enlighten me on the difference then please pal?.
It has the petrol lines fitted, charcoal canister and breather line the same as the oem petrol tank . The part number of the tank is the same less the last letter.
Diesel tank part number 2k0201060j
Petrol tank part number 2k0201060p
And the petrol tanks have a 22mm inlet.

Nice one. Love the touran front bumper mod on this model of this van. My first van was this exact color and with the sportline front splitter really made a big difference.
I've got to say that is one of the nicest workshops I've seen
At first I thought f%%% he's doing the conversion in his living room .
Reading these petrol conversion builds as got the grey matter working over time again on what to do with my one now especially with ulez in the next Borough.

But that one digit makes all the difference, filler neck is totally different, carbon canister is different, fuel filter location is different, fuel lines follow correct route (no need for cable ties).
I wasn’t being funny, it’s just a pet hate of mine. If something is worth doing it’s worth doing right, don’t be convinced by people to cut corners/lower standards with your build just because they are happy to do so with theirs. If it were as simple as fitting an additional breather line, VW would most certainly do it as it would save them millions.

Cheers bro I put some cheap laminate flooring down due to the floor finishing costs. It’s been hammered trolly jacks engine cranes etc and still looks mint haha.
Yes the touran bumper is a great cheap modification.
