small update on the cluster swap 2018 into a 2011 still not working i think it has something to do with firmware on cluster. i think for the meantime im gonna save up the penny's and buy a virtual dash. I was really hoping that this could be done but it seems low spec caddys and there wiring are a nightmare. But i am enjoying having the cruise control and ive been advised to get rid of the pioneer touchscreen thats fitted and fit an upgraded oem style head unit with backup function as will fix my left hand buttons on steering wheel.

if you work in scrap yard keep eye out for vw rns 315 E,it’s got Bluetooth,satnav,dab,you can also wire and code in reverse camera.some passats and Passat cc had them

ill keep an eye out for one of them i did find a nice radio in a mk6 golf but no code i can get a code online and ive a couple of apps on my phone that will get me the code but ill check the model first

This one.i bought sat nav antenna off AliExpress for few euro and works perfect

I bought a dab antenna, the solid plastic bar kind that sticks to the windscreen and it worked fine to start with on my RCD510 but it's gone crap and now hardly any signal strength.

Back to the drawing board.

Someone put a odd looking aerial on the front roof of my caddy probably to try boost the signal it looks horrendous and signal is crap as well and looks an eyesore
