Rear axle lowering help

This picture is wrong all together. There is no bolt in the axle and, I just looked through the pictures and this lowering was done wrong.
Older Caddys have a bolt going through the leaf spring. You don't need to do anything with it. For raising you just need longer U-bolts to allow clamping of lift blocks, but I think they come with the kit.

I need stiffer rear suspension, so ...

I have single leaf spring, on my Caddy. So I purchased additional leaf spring, which was removed from original double leaf springs. On my single leaf spring is shorter pin.

I don't have longer pin, which goes trought leaf springs and sitting in hole on the axle. These pins arent sell anywhere, so i decided to use 10,9 or 12,9 strength cylinder head screw like. So I need to know, which bolt I should buy.

At the same time, i will instal rising bricks, but they are still lost somwhere in the mail :-(

Not sure if this is going to work the way you expect it to... maybe, you'll see. Why not an uprated single leaf? They not that expensive.
The hole in the axle is 15mm, so you want to match that. Not sure what the hole size in the leaf spring, should be easy to measure.

Up-rated single leaf will be good way, but here is pretty expensive.

Hole diameter in the leaf is 10,6 mm. M10 head is approx 16mm, so maybe it will fit after some customisation

Hi there, new to this group. Is there any way of my seeing anyone’s install for the axle flip using the stanced kit? I still haven’t hit the required posts to be able to access all the forums. TIA

Hi. I’ve just done the rear axle flip and the passenger side sits correct but drivers sits back and it’s rubbing on the archliner. Is there a way to fit the flip kit ,like pushing the axle or something or I’m missing something? The leaf locating pin on drivers side was nowhere near the hole in the flip plate.

The threaded bolt is a locatortab so the leafspring sits on the right place, you can losen it from the axel and screw it to the leafspring and the tab fits in to the hole in the plate with the u formed steel locators.
One of the plates has a bigger hole and thats for the nut to fit in.
Don't drive with the van now it's dangerous the axel can move now when the leafspring is mounted without the tabs.
The top plate that you couldn't fit has a small tab on it, if you losen the threaded bolt this tab on the plate fits in the axel.

What’s the easiest way to get this threaded stud out? I’m having same problem as the guy that posted originally. Any help will be much appreciated

It's not a stud. it's just a bolt head stuck in the hole, perhaps rusted. Some WD40 and brute force may help

I've seen people spray with WD-40 and just knock that stud out with a hammer and drift or twist it with mole grips to release it.
